Students are starting their year off by learning about Art Classroom Routines!  We all have made a Name Tag- Sketchbook that we will use throughout the year to brainstorm and plan our CREATIONS!

Kindergarten  Grade Dream Story Moody Portraits!

Students are drawing a dream with a Setting, Mood, Characters and Props to tell a Story!  Students decided on their Mood and took a Photograph Portrait while 'dreaming' to show that mood with a Facial Expession! Students are using Water Color Crayons, Different types of Line to add detail, water color, Painted Patterns, and Soft Pastel to create a nightime effect in their work!

Kindergarten Students are Learning about Still Lifes, Observational Drawing, and Clay Techniques through a 2D and 3D Drawing and Sculpting Process of a Fruit Bowl!

Students will first practice a still life drawing in their sketchbook!  We will then use what we learn about sculpture and clay to build our 'bowl' by making a Clay Pinch Pot!  Afterwards, we will sculpt Fruit using our observational eye!  After our clay is fired, we will Glaze our bowl, and paint our fruit using realistic colors!

Kindergarten 3D Collaged, Painted, Color Mixed and Printed Patterned City

Kindergarten Students will first Learn about the PRIMARY COLORS which mix to make the SECONDARY COLORS!  We Mixed the Primary Colors with Paint to make the Seconbdary colors for our 2D Building Background!

Students will then use Primary Colors and Black and White to PRINT Opposite colors on top of the painted paper to make Patterns to represent our windows of our buildings!

Next, Students will paint 3d Boxes to Collage onto the 2d Buildings and gadget print windows on top!

Lastly, We will collage our rectangles together to build a collaged and overlapped City Scape!

TEXTURED TREES with ACTUAL ABSTRACT TEXTURES  and REALISITIC Warm and Cool COLORS!
